Embarking on a journey....

I have been wanting to write in this space for the past week, but have been busy basking in the sunshine (which has been very missed around here lately), and spending time on the house and with friends. Spring is very much in the air...but in Ohio...you can never really be too sure, at least until the end of march, that spring is actually here. But in any case...I remain hopeful that this beautiful weather is here to stay.

I have been wanting to write about the new Journey I have recently embarked on. Long story short...there is a beautiful older woman named Elaine whom Zach met through his Americorp training adventures...and they quickly developed a special friendship. She is a reiki healer, social work trainer, and therapist..among many other things. When he was going through his treatments years back..she invited him to take part in a death doll ceremony over an entire weekend. It sounds grim...but it's really all about burying negative parts of your life and making room for the positive. It was a changing and amazing experience for him. So after years of hearing amazing things about Elaine, I was finally able to meet her when she made the trip from Michigan for our wedding.

So...she recently told Z of a Journey she was going to be facilitating (called the Journey to the Stillpoint of your Soul). It is a bit of a time committment and Z knew he would not be able to do it with his work schedule being SO crazy these days. So he told me about it and said he would love for me to have the experience if I so wished. So I researched it a bit more and had a long talk with Elaine over the phone about everything it entailed....and she had me in tears. This is the kind of woman she is...it's like she goes straight to your soul and speaks to you in a way that dives deeper than just surface conversation. I was simply overwhelmed with the possibilities of what this experience could do for me. So I decided that I had to be a part of it.

The journey is a simple, yet powerfully guided, step-by-step process that gives you the tools to access your body's infinite wisdom and elicit it's own healing power. It is in no way about religion. The core belief is that it is possible to heal anything at a profound emotional level and physical level to clear out old issues for good and to know absolute clarity, radiant health, freedom and joy. It is a commitment to yourself and no one else. You will come to know your self in deeper, more intimate ways...spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and socially. The hope is discover your wholeness, unlock your maximum potential, and accept who you are in a loving way. This all comes through interaction with the group...but mainly through much journaling and regular practice of integrating new ideas into every day life.

The whole thing will take about 10-12 months or so, and consists of 5 different modules:
1. Moving off of stuck
2. Trusting your inner wisdom
3. Developing your unique life plan
4. Leaping into your freedom
5. Living from your soul

Each module will take about 2-3 months, and we will all come together (there are 8 people in total) for about 4 webinars during each one. Each module will have a set of 'gates' to pass through in order to progress toward your goal. The gates represent specific challenges or stuck points. As you move through each one, you embrace self-awareness and your own internal wisdom.

I realize as I read through all of this that it may sound a bit hokey, but I can tell that it is truly going to be a wonderful and insightful experience. I look forward to knowing myself on a deeper level and allowing myself do something for me. and it is so amazing that Zach is so incredibly supportive of this. I am not sure how much I will write about it here because I will be doing so much writing on my own...but I will surely give you updates on how it is going.

Whew...that was a long one :) hope you are all enjoying some beautiful weather and sunshine....
