Part two- Stonebarn Farms

Sunday morning in NY took Zach and I along with 2 friends to the beautiful Stonebarn Farms at the Rockefeller Estate. I had been feeling quite a bit of anxiety due to the fact that I had been planning to do my Journey webinar from the hotel that afternoon but I knew that it would probably be a long time before I got another chance to see this amazing farm that I had heard so many wonderful things about. So I decided I would try to do both and that I would drive separately so I could leave early for my webinar. Well, once I got there...I immediately knew there was going to be no way that I would want to leave in an hour. So I let myself off the hook and reminded myself that it was going to be the first group session I'd missed and that Elaine would get me caught up later in the week. I am really glad I made this decision..because this place was absolutely incredible.
Rows of vegetables for miles...
Meat chickens....
 Laying hens....
 Sheep...
(how cute is this dog hanging out with his
little lamb buddy?!)
 Pigs....
(four little piggies nursing)
 Beautiful woods...
Giant compost piles...
(this was Zach's favorite part I think)
A greenhouse that took up a full 1/2 acre...
 An orchard...
And a sweet little gift shop...
Needless to say...it was a fabulous way to spend the afternoon in NY....

2 sweet thoughts:

  1. The gardens look like a great spot and Id say you made a good choice about not leaving early!
