Philip and Rebecca {married!} Part 1

We spent Memorial Day weekend in Hudson Valley NY. We left at about 6am on Friday and drove about 9 hours to NY to share in the wedding celebration of our dear friends Phil and Becky. They have been together for over 8 years now and they are just such an incredibly beautiful and special couple.

So after a long car ride.....
...and lots of coloring and me trying to pretend I didn't have to go the
bathroom as often as I really did....
...we finally arrived. And very shortly after checking into our hotel, we made our way to the rehearsal dinner
which took place at Phil's parents Hudson River house. They had the house built back in the late 80's to look like a boat. It was huge..and stunning. They had a small private beach and a view of the Tappan Zee bridge and the river that was to die for. It was a pretty swanky party to say the least :)
One of Becky's friends (one of the bridesmaids) from college was a yoga instructor and held an hour long session for a few of us on Saturday morning. What a perfect start to the day! Then we had the ceremony rehearsal at the hotel. Then in the afternoon, they invited everyone for a 3 hour boat ride on the Hudson River. The weather was perfect...and we had a blast (aside from Zach's motion sickness..eek!)
We sailed right past the famous West Point military school....
At one point you could even see Phil and Becky's wedding tent
off in the distance...this is how we all new we were in for a serious
treat at their wedding the next day...

Saturday evening....they took everyone to a favorite local pizza joint.
The food and company were absolutely wonderful.

The last day of our trip deserves it's own post...so I will leave you for now with
To Be Continued :)
